About the opportunity

As our Account Manager, you will be finding new business opportunities and delivering sales within a selected number of accounts and specific territory, making sure that our customers and partners constantly get the full value of Axis Communications.

You will be working in the field, closely with our customers and partners, making sure that you are there as a business partner and consultant for them, ensuring our common success in projects. You will handle accounts on a daily basis, acting as a professional interface between the accounts and Axis Communications.

This position is based in Melbourne and will have a requirement to travel domestically with some international travel as well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable and the key point of contact to our valued partners and customers to support their ongoing current and future needs.
  • Identify, qualify, and build a pipeline of leads and project opportunities.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls in a professional and customer focused manner.
  • Build, track and revise partner plans with your key partners in your territory to maintain key goals and strategies.
  • Work with your Southern Sales team, sales management, and the marketing team to deliver and support targeted campaigns and activities across your territory including participating in trade shows, partner and distributor, and Axis events.
  • Building strong rapport and trust with our existing and new partners.
  • Work and collaborate efficiently with the local and broader Axis teams to meet the requirements and needs of our customers and our business.

Qualification and Experience

  • Certificate or bachelor's degree in business or related discipline or relevant experience
  • Experience in an Account Manager focused sales role or similar role
  • Exposure to or experience preferably in a technical sales position from the IT and/or Security Industries will be advantageous
  • Driven, proactive, and self-motivated team player
  • Has good organizational skills, and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player, flexible and collaborative by nature
