Our Major Client Group (MCG) is a newly created team which is designed specifically to look after our largest and most complex customers who typically have debt requirements in excess of $50m and/or turnover in excess of $150m. Our customers operate a diverse range of businesses across different industries and include both private and public companies (including some of Australia’s Top 500 listed companies) as well as companies which are owned by private equity firms.

Do Work That Matters:
As our Account Manager in our high performing team, you will work closely with your assigned Relationship Executive and Analyst to support the banking needs of a portfolio of customers. You will have a high level of exposure to client support and will play a key role within the Relationship team in helping our customers with their day to day banking needs. Your passion for customer service and focus on being number one in client satisfaction will see you stand out in this role and you will also gain great exposure to the credit elements of this team and the opportunity to work on highly complex transactions. 

More Specifically, You Will:

  • Deal with all KYC matters on a portfolio of a customer (including on boarding new customers or uplifting existing customers). 

  • Assist with bank guarantee requests (origination or maintenance requests). 

  • Undertake business reviews and company/title searches. 

  • Work closely with the Deal Team in preparing credit submissions. 

  • Coordinate the documentation and funding aspects of a deal. 

  • Process credit card requests (origination, increases and/or maintenance requests). 

  • Provide transactional support to our customers. 

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with support teams including Risk, Global Markets, Transaction Banking and Asset Finance. 

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in all dealings, as reflected in a positive lift in various survey results. 

  • Learn and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures. 

  • Maintain good portfolio hygiene by ensuring information on source systems is accurate. 

  • Get involved, engaged and participate in the Service and Sales framework including sales meetings, team debriefs and other associated activities. 

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience dealing with complex lending structures and/or complex organisational structures (highly desirable). 

  • A strong understanding of financial statements and how to analyse them. 

  • Customer service experience ideally in a commercial or business banking environment. 

  • Exposure to credit and a keen desire to continue to develop your knowledge in this regard. 

  • Knowledge of the Personal Property Securities Act. 

  • Experience documenting facilities via external lawyers. 

  • A proactive attitude and a general willingness to learn. 

  • Great stakeholder management and communication skills. 

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance and/or Commerce.
