Job Description

About the role
Are you ready to be the driving force behind two iconic brands—Temperzone and Hitachi? We're looking for a passionate and knowledgeable champion to lead the charge in building strong relationships, driving strategic growth, and delivering exceptional value to our trade and commercial partners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of residential and commercial trade accounts, ensuring consistent engagement and high-quality representation of Temperzone and Hitachi products
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and territory plans, aligning with monthly targets and market growth expectations across assigned customer segments.
  • Provide technical sales support, including product selection, pricing guidance, and application advice, acting as a key point of contact for both internal teams and external partners.
  • Conduct regular customer interactions, including structured face-to-face visits, lead follow-ups, and quotation negotiations to drive conversion and retention.
  • Liaise with Tasmania-based distributors to support regional sales initiatives and tailor service improvements to local market conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. Marketing, Customer Service, Credit) to enhance the customer experience and support promotional activities such as trade events and incentive programs.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market pricing trends to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • Proven sales success in the HVAC or related industry, with experience managing high-volume residential or retail products
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in external sales roles working with established brands or large-scale projects
    Strong understanding of residential contractor networks, with at least 2 years’ direct engagement
  • Qualifications in sales process or management, with additional HVAC or ASHRAE certifications considered a plus
  • Technical aptitude in refrigeration or electrical engineering, and familiarity with VRF technologies, selection, and application
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritise effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with a collaborative, punctual, and team-oriented approach
