The role:
The Account Executive will be based in Sydney ideally and focusing on SaaS and Cloud new business manage sales with Genetec customers (Certified System Integrators), technology partners, consultants, and end users in the assigned territory.
The main role is to increase revenues and ensure regular communication with the APAC team and the corporate office in Montreal, Canada.
What your day will look like:- Support Regional sales managers to develop the assigned sales territory and focusing on SaaS and Cloud new business
- Discover and track opportunities, follow up and distribute leads to partners.
- Visit Customers/partners/consultants at their premises.
- Manage forecasts and achieve quotas.
- Identify customer needs, respond to RFIs, RFQs, prepare quotes and write proposals.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication with Customers and MRs.
- Monitor and report satisfaction levels from customers, integrators, consultants.
- Coordinate customer, integrator, consultant training.
- Update and maintain data in CRM or other applications.
- Acquire, maintain, and report adequate knowledge of product, market, and competition.
- Stay abreast of the products, applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services.
Technical & Solution Knowledge
- Min 5 years of experience in a sales role with a focus on technology or security solutions and Saas/Cloud
- Require proven ability to present and position complex security solutions (SaaS, hybrid, on-premises) to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with access control, video surveillance, and cloud-based platforms in enterprise environments.
- Understanding of integration/migration strategies from legacy systems and device compatibility.
Presentation & Communication Skills
- Demonstrated experience delivering structured presentations with clear agendas, relevant case studies, and credible data points.
- Ability to handle objections confidently and maintain audience engagement.
- Familiarity with Challenger or consultative sales approaches is desirable.
Compliance & Industry Awareness
- Confidence in discussing local/regional compliance requirements (e.g., SOCI Act, ISO standards, data sovereignty) and their impact on solution design.
- Ability to relate compliance positioning back to our value proposition.
Business Storytelling
- Strong capability to link technical features to customer business outcomes, supported by industry insights and customer success stories.
