We are looking for a Graduate Transport Planner to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects, contributing to the successful delivery of transport and aviation solutions.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Develop technical skills, build industry knowledge, and grow your career in a supportive and collaborative environment under the guidance of experienced engineers, planners and modellers.
  • Gather and organise basic engineering data using established procedures and systems.
  • Assist with specific and defined portions of larger project assignments under the guidance of senior engineers and transport planners and modellers. 
  • Support the delivery of traffic and transport engineering tasks, including technical calculations and analysis
  • Apply standards and guidelines in the planning and design process and an ability to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges  
  • Apply safe systems principles to develop a safe environment for all road users
  • Plan for the movement of people across all modes and a range of projects
  • Assess the movement of people in space and understand the implications, and to advise clients accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Graduate Attributes: We’re seeking graduates with strong communication and teamwork skills, a proactive and adaptable mindset, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your final year or completed a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering, with electives in Transport Planning, Traffic Engineering, Traffic Modelling, Transport Project Management, Mathematics or any related discipline.
  • Graduate Year: You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program.
  • Commencement: You must be able to commence work by February 2027. We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2027.
  • Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
