In the announcement on Thursday, Persistent said Australia is a fast-growing market for AI and cloud modernization, with organizations moving from digital experimentation to enterprise-scale AI adoption. The Melbourne Innovation Center will promote an AI-first approach to modernization, helping enterprises upgrade legacy systems, improve engineering efficiency through its platforms and accelerators and develop new revenue streams using industry-specific solutions and outcome-based delivery models.

Beyond this, Persistent said it also plans to expand engineering and AI capabilities across the region through hiring, ecosystem partnerships, hackathons and workforce skilling initiatives.
