Telstra Platinum Enterprise Partner OneStep Group has acquired Brisbane-based C5 Technology, a managed IT and cybersecurity company.

The acquisition, reported by CRN Australia, boosts OneStep Group’s presence in Queensland, complementing its offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, where the company previously acquired cybersecurity consultancy ES2 in 2023.

The move strengthens OneStep Group’s current service offerings and enhances its capabilities in data security, business continuity and digital transformation. Its team of now over 200 employees will continue to serve more than 1,000 clients across various sectors, including retail, government, enterprise and healthcare.

Following the acquisition, C5 Technology Founder Mark Osborne and CFO Ashika Lala will join the OneStep Group executive team.

Osborne said in a statement: “Joining OneStep Group is a great fit for C5. The consolidated company will have a very strong set of capabilities. We are excited to be the Queensland presence for the wider group which in turn enables a positive step change in capability and scalability for C5, and I am looking forward to playing my part in the future success of the team.”
