Melbourne-based startup Lyrebird Health has raised $12 million in its first venture capital round, led by Five V Capital and U.K.-based Octopus Ventures, with additional participation from Startmate.
Since its founding in May 2023, Lyrebird Health has become the most widely used AI medical scribe among Australian general practitioners, according to the company’s website. The platform now supports over 28,000 patient consultations per day and offers integrations with leading electronic medical record systems, helping tens of thousands of patients through improved healthcare communication.
The funding will be used to accelerate product development and support global expansion, beginning with a U.K. launch and a partnership with King’s Hospital in Dubai.
