Melbourne fintech company Zeller has announced its entry into the U.K., where it will base its operations in London. This represents its first international expansion beyond Australia as part of its broader global growth strategy.
As reported by Capital Brief, Zeller is targeting what it views as an underserved market segment in the U.K., where over 5.5 million businesses handle around £1.3 trillion, or approximately $2.65 trillion, in payments each year.
To establish its presence in the region, Zeller plans to hire over 40 employees in technology, operations and go-to-market roles over the coming years.
The company has also appointed former ByteDance executive Lars Weber to lead its U.K. operations.
