Senior Client Operations Analyst
Location: Melbourne
Description
This is a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality superannuation services through Apex Group’s Superannuation Administration platform. This role supports the operational team by resolving complex processing exceptions, mentoring junior staff, analysing data for integrity and compliance, and driving system and process improvements.
Job specification
· Deliver superannuation services through Apex’s platform in line with operational policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
· Monitor, analyse, and oversee automated processing to ensure accuracy, performance, and regulatory compliance.
· Investigate and resolve complex processing exceptions with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
· Perform SQL-based data reviews and reconciliations to maintain data integrity across member and transaction records.
· Support Team Leader in managing daily operations, including workflow coordination, escalations, and performance reporting.
· Coach and mentor junior analysts, contributing to continuous skill development and team capability uplift.
· Identify, document, and assist in implementing enhancements to operational processes and system workflows.
· Assist in quality assurance efforts by supporting automation and accurate process documentation.
· Participate in incident reviews, breach investigations, and complaints analysis to ensure regulatory obligations are met.
· Engage with internal technology teams to support platform improvements and compliance with legislative changes.
· Contribute to operational risk reviews by identifying issues and recommending controls or mitigation strategies.
· Support year-end and ad hoc reviews by ensuring data readiness, compliance, and platform performance.
Skills Required:
· Strong working knowledge of superannuation administration and associated compliance requirements.
· Effective use of SQL to support data validation, analysis, and reconciliation.
· Demonstrated problem-solving ability with high attention to detail.
· Capable of working independently and collaboratively across business functions.
· Proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and driving improvements.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
