The team will develop and support robust client-facing digital identity management applications, including single sign-on (SSO) capabilities and multi-factor authentication (MFA) systems.

This role requires a unique blend of digital technical fluency, security expertise, stakeholder management and collaboration, and agile delivery.

What will you do?

  • Define and promote a digital product vision for scalable, secure identity management experiences, grounded in client needs and digital security best practices.
  • Analyze data and engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities, shape features, prioritize and evangelize the digital product roadmap based on insights.
  • Balance client experience and business needs with digital security requirements and implementation realities.

Digital Technical Fluency and Security Understanding:

  • Partner closely with developers, architects, and security experts to understand technical constraints and enable secure, reusable digital authentication solutions.
  • Understand how digital identity providers, authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, SAML), and access control models interact with legacy and new digital systems.
  • Clearly explain digital business dependencies, risks, and opportunities to technical team members and stakeholders, and technical/security dependencies, risks, and opportunities to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Translate digital business needs into technical requirements and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Champion digital security best practices to improve our ability to protect client data while maintaining usability.

Agile Champion and Accelerated Digital Delivery:

  • Champion Agile best practices within your digital squad, ensuring adherence to ceremonies and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Lead sprint planning and backlog refinement for the digital team, ensuring alignment with roadmap.
  • Analyze sprint outcomes to identify inefficiencies and implement changes in the digital delivery process.
  • Collaborate with Agile Coaches and cross-functional team members to ensure digital best practices are followed.

Measurable Impact and Data-Driven Digital Prioritization:

  • Define and track success metrics related to digital feature adoption, authentication efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Use data to refine prioritization and ensure the team is solving the highest-impact digital problems for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure digital roadmap alignment with key outcomes and pivot quickly when features fail to deliver.
  • Develop financial models to measure value creation and track costs and benefits of digital identity and access management investments.

Future Vision and Strategic Digital Roadmap:

  • Maintain a clear digital roadmap for identity and access management solutions that is adaptable to new authentication methods and evolving security needs.
  • Contribute to digital platform strategy that supports scalability and extensibility across multiple domains and teams.
  • Proactively plan for dependencies with other agile teams and coordinate efforts for digital platform-level feature development.
  • Clearly communicate the digital roadmap to teams and stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment.

Digital Product Risk Mitigation and Go-to-Market:

  • Identify and manage risks related to stakeholder adoption, technical feasibility, digital security compliance, and user experience.
  • Support launches of new digital identity management features by working closely with internal teams and business stakeholders.
  • Support go-to-market strategies for digital product features, ensuring effective client communication, operational readiness, and stakeholder alignment.

Inclusive Leadership and Digital Knowledge Sharing:

  • Gather diverse perspectives to inform digital decisions and promote inclusivity in decision-making.
  • Document digital requirements and decisions in clear, reusable formats that enable knowledge transfer across multiple teams and time zones.
  • Contribute to internal playbooks and training documentation to help scale digital identity and access management best practices.

  • Drive alignment with reusable digital authentication patterns across multiple Canadian digital properties in both public and authenticated domains.
  • Champion best practices in digital security, user experience, and multi-channel identity management.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure digital product architecture supports scalability and promote broadly deployable solutions.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field; a computer science or cybersecurity degree is a strong asset.
  • 5-7 years of experience in digital product ownership, preferably with expertise in enterprise-scale digital identity and access management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of digital authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, OIDC), identity providers, and access control models. Experience with modern digital authentication frameworks is a strong asset.
  • Experience working with or alongside digital security teams and contributing to secure design patterns or reusable authentication components.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with developers, digital security experts, UX designers, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading cross-functional digital teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes and driving digital product success in security-sensitive environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at various levels in a digital context.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
