Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to architect, develop, and manage a robust cloud-based platform that empowers engineering teams to innovate faster and reduce dependencies.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will:
- Design and Develop: Lead the creation of a scalable and resilient platform infrastructure tailored to diverse engineering needs.
- Automate and Optimize: Spearhead automation of platform management and deployment processes using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Drive containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes to streamline deployments.
- Monitor & Secure: Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions, optimize performance, and enforce security best practices across AWS and GCP environments.
- Collaborate: Foster a DevOps culture by working closely with development and operations teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain cloud-based platforms leveraging AWS or GCP.
- Build self-service capabilities for engineering teams to accelerate development cycles.
- Develop automated deployment pipelines and management tools.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security regulations.
- Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Strong background in Software or Systems Engineering
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Advanced scripting skills (Python, Shell).
- Deep knowledge of AWS (VPC, EC2, Route53, S3, CloudFormation) Or GCP (VPC, Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, LXC) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and version control (Git).
- Linux/Unix system administration experience.
- Certifications in AWS or GCP architecture/operations (highly regarded).
Nice to Have
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Knowledge of immutable architectures and software-defined infrastructure.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby, C/C++.
