BAE Systems is seeking a Huntsville, AL-based lead Test Design Engineer to join a growing team developing cutting-edge capabilities in multimodal/multifunction seekers. You will serve as a technical contributor on our integrated product team in the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) product line. As a lead contributor in front of test design activities within the Systems Engineering organization, you will be responsible for deeply impactful contributions to next generation military autonomy with an emphasis on smart seekers for missiles and munitions. Members on this development team drive collaborative value creation that is greater than the sum of their individual contributions. You will have the opportunity to participate in efforts across the full spectrum of technology maturation ranging from Strategic Initiatives, IRAD/CRAD R&D prototypes, EMD, LRIP and full rate production systems. You will work with other engineering staff & team leaders to grow our knowledge and capabilities through engineering changes, lessons learned, insights, Agile retrospectives and product/process improvements.
The successful candidate will have combination of direct experience developing both hardware and software Test Solutions in multiple domains including RF, EO/IR, Optical, and Laser, ideally in missile/munition seeker applications. The candidate must also understand lab environment testing concepts and integration of systems, sub-assemblies, and components.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must be a US Citizen with a Secret clearance who is eligible for Top Secret/SCI/SAP/SAR clearance
- Experienced background in a combination of Radar systems integration, modeling, test and diagnostics, for active and passive system solutions
- Experience with NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand and some C++
- Advanced circuit analysis skills to support troubleshooting and diagnosing issues
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 8 years of applicable experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Advanced (MS or higher) degree in Systems, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent
- Understanding of one or more radar modalities to include pulsed-Doppler, SAR, and HRR
- Advanced circuit analysis skills to support troubleshooting and diagnosing issues
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Experienced in a multi-modal Seeker development and test (EO/IR, SAL, GPS, VBN)
- Ability to Troubleshoot System Software/Hardware Problems
- Digital Engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML), Model Based Agile Engineering (Value Driven Digital Threads) and Agile Mindset principle, practices & processes and tools & techniques
