We are seeking a talented individual to join our Legal team at Marsh. This role is based in Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Junior Legal Counsel \ Paralegal – Full Time

Looking for an exciting role which will provide a sense of ownership? This is a great opportunity to expand your skills and progress with a global company.

This role will suit someone that demonstrates a willingness to take on increased responsibilities and is able to act independently, who has excellent planning and organisational skills for project development and implementation, and is efficient at completing tasks timely to support internal and external client demands.

We will count on you to:

  • Reviewing and negotiating legal agreements such as client service agreements, supplier agreements, and confidentiality agreements;
  • Approval of marketing materials;
  • Provide ad hoc legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters;
  • You will be part of a team forming our contracting centre of excellence;
  • Liaison between legal and rest of the company;
  • General legal duties such as having agreements signed by Directors and distributing appropriate papers;
  • Assisting in producing reports, manuals, and presentations;
  • Other tasks as directed by the manager.

What you need to have:

  • 0-3 years of experience in legal work, or equivalent experience;
  • Pro-active and highly organised;
  • Thrive in a high-pressure environment;
  • Ability to work autonomously and accurately to meet multiple deadlines;
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of writing and communication skills;
  • Ability to draft and edit concisely;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
