Role Description
This role is intended to provide a summer intern with valuable work experience through exposure to Human Resources ("HR") functions within MetLife. The intern will work directly with experienced HR professionals in different areas of practice which may include employee service delivery and communications, payroll operations, organizational design, project management, employee policy design and review, and job structures.
Other areas of human resources experience may include supporting talent management in two of the largest U.S. businesses including the refresh of talent ratings, development plans and role profiles; assisting with the evaluation of mid-year progress on key OKR deliverables; and meeting with business leaders through planned one-on-one meetings for career coaching.
This internship role will contribute to a wide variety of exciting and interesting projects, as well as present to managers in the organization at the end of the internship.
Summer Internship Program Highlights

Essential Business Experience and Skills
- Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program with an accredited college or university
- Preferred major includes human resources or other business-related major
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
