Job Description
The role involves originating debt transactions for corporations and financial institutions in Australia and New Zealand, with a product range that includes syndicated loans, acquisition finance, leveraged finance, SEC-registered and 144A bonds, US private placements, Euro bonds, high-yield bonds, liability management, and hybrid issues.
This position will primarily focus on syndicated loans, acquisition finance, leverage finance and high yield bonds for corporate clients and sponsors.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Direct coverage of DCM corporate and financial clients
  • Assisting with the origination and execution of offshore market bond transactions
  • Maintaining a current understanding of trends in the local and international debt capital markets, and communicating this via market updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting a deal or project team with analytical and research support
  • Compiling briefing books with company and industry information and coordinating pitch book creation
  • Performing comparables analyses across borrowers and markets
  • Building financial projection models
  • Liaising with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. lawyers, accountants, other banks)
  • Supporting due diligence & negotiations
  • Involvement in Q&A process / management interviews

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in finance or law
  • Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
  • Sound technical and valuation skills, and understanding of global debt capital markets
  • Strong project management capability
