IG is looking to appoint a Compliance Manager to join our Australian Compliance team of 4, based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, Australia, you will be responsible for assisting the delivery of strategic compliance projects, including managing the Compliance framework and applicable regulatory requirements for IG’s Australian and New Zealand operations.

What you'll do
  • Advise and engage the business on Australian and New Zealand compliance and conduct related matters
  • Keep abreast of regulatory change and effectively communicate such change to the business
  • Manage the Australian and New Zealand Compliance frameworks, including the Compliance Monitoring Plans, ensuring the plans remains relevant and up to date having regard to the relevant regulatory risks
  • Develop policies and procedures reflecting the business’ regulatory and conduct obligations
  • Manage the Internal and external dispute resolution procedures
  • Provide advice to the business on regulatory matters
  • Engage with and maintain a strong relationship with regulators including ASIC, NZ’s FMA and AUSTRAC
  • Assist with external regulatory and other investigations
  • Manage and support the junior compliance team members
  • Provide regular compliance reports to senior management
  • Assist with the review and approval of marketing and advertising material
  • Assist with the drafting of responses to consultation papers on legislative and regulatory reforms
  • Provide training on compliance matters to the business
  • Assist the business with meetings its strategic objectives by being the compliance stakeholder for key projects and initiatives
  • Assisting with the review and assessment of incidents and breaches
  • Be a senior member of the Australian compliance team, substituting for the Head of Compliance, Australia, as and when required
  • Provide assistance in any other specific or general way to the work of the global compliance team
What you'll need for this role
  • Bachelors degree in legal, commerce and/or finance
  • Financial services experience in a control, compliance or regulatory role
  • People Management experience
  • Retail financial services experience
  • Experience with AML/CTF and financial services obligations in Australia or New Zealand
  • Understanding of AFCA process
  • Understand you may need to work late hours due to liaising with teams in other jurisdictions

Bonus is you have:

  • CFDs, futures or equities experience
  • Crypto experience
